Mechanical Building Services

Mechanical building services account for around 30% of the capital and 50% of the operating cost for a typical office, and substantially more in highly serviced buildings such as hospitals. They play a central role in creating a successful project and a successful building and are probably the first thing noticed when not working well – e.g. flickering lights or cold draughts.

Piggott and Whitfield has the in-house engineering experience to deliver both simple and complex energy efficient mechanical solutions for building services. Our mechanical engineers provide design and installation of Air-conditioning, Heating, Cooling, Ventilation and Steam services in any commercial application. They will also undertake domestic Hot and Cold water, gas and above ground drainage aspect of the project.

Piggott and Whitfield design, supply, install and commission complete electrical and mechanical installations.

Contracts are structured to promote a spirit of mutual trust and co-operation and achieve common goals of carrying out the works to the required levels of quality, safety and programme compliance.

All design and coordination issues are dealt with by our in house team, along with the production of builders work details in line with information provided.
