Project Background

This project is another industrial collaboration with Williams Tarr Construction developing a temperature-controlled pharmaceutical testing and storage facility at the Novartis campus site in Speke.

Scope of Works

The Mechanical and Electrical services required within the new pharmaceutical testing and storage buildings includes general services such as office ventilation and VRF air-conditioning, Lighting & small power distribution. In addition this project included precise temperature controlled warehouse space that requires:

• Close control air-conditioning controlled to 20oC +/- 1oC, utilising recirculation fans and constant volume air handling plant.
• Refrigerated storage area controlled to 5oC +/- 0.5oC
• Automatic warehouse lighting with KNX control system
• Automatic sprinkler protection
• Internal and external CCTV and intruder alerts linked to site-wide systems
• BMS linked to site-wide monitoring systems
